The first game of the NFL season was last night, and did it feel good to have football back. There were some College Football games on last weekend, but the ACC and Big 12 start playing tomorrow, marking the true start to the season.
Many top prospects have opted out of this season and already declared for the draft; Penei Sewell, Ja’Marr Chase, Micah Parsons, Greg Rousseau, to name just a few. The ACC and Big 12 start this weekend, the SEC starts on 09/26, and we still do not know when the Big Ten or PAC-12 will start playing this season.
This season will obviously be like nothing we have ever seen before. But as long as the NFL Draft is still planned for 2021, every future game and every game now on tape, still matter just as much as always.
I’m very excited for this draft. It can shape up to be one of the best offensive draft classes we have ever seen. As long as everyone we expect to declare ends up declaring, this draft will feature 3 potential franchise quarterbacks, 15-plus game-changing offensive weapons between wide receivers and running backs, and a ton of offensive linemen that could easily start next season as rookies.
